One of the few World Cup venues built as a soccer-specific stadium, BMO Field opened in 2007 and hosted matches at that year's FIFA U-20 World Cup. It is now home to MLS side Toronto FC.
The stadium hosts six matches at the 2026 World Cup, five of them in the group stage, including Canada's opening fixture against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 12.

The Ontario government has confirmed that bars and restaurants in the province can serve alcohol until 4 a.m. for the duration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The temporary extension runs from June 11 to July 19. Toronto Stadium hosts six tournament matches.
