SoFi Stadium Workers Reach Deal, Averting a World Cup Strike
Three days before SoFi Stadium hosts its first 2026 World Cup match, the union UNITE HERE Local 11 reached a tentative agreement with food and beverage contractor Legends Global, averting a threatened strike by about 2,000 hospitality workers. Iran's Team Granted US Visas for the World Cup, Officials Say
Iran's football team has been granted visas to enter the United States for the World Cup, US officials have confirmed, about 10 days before the side's opening match against New Zealand in Los Angeles on June 15. The approval follows weeks of uncertainty that had already pushed Iran to base in Mexico.
