BC Place
Hosted opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Opened in 1983 and nestled on the waterfront in the heart of Vancouver, BC Place is one of the most picturesque venues of the 2026 World Cup. It is the long-term home of MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps and CFL franchise the BC Lions.
The venue featured prominently at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, hosting the final where the USA defeated Japan 5-2. It stages seven 2026 matches, including two knockout-round games.

Jesse Marsch has named Alphonso Davies in what he called the best 26-man squad Canada has "ever assembled" for a World Cup, despite the Bayern Munich defender still recovering from a hamstring injury. Juventus forward Jonathan David also makes the cut. The co-hosts open Group B against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto on June 12.
British Columbia has raised its estimate for hosting seven World Cup matches in Vancouver to between C$685 million and C$729 million, up from C$532 million to C$624 million a year ago. The province says higher projected revenues mean the net cost will be about C$31 million lower than forecast last June. BC Place upgrades and security drove the increase.
