Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele scored in a six-minute spell in the second half as France beat Morocco 2-0 at Gillette Stadium in Boston to reach the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
F rance defeated Morocco 2-0 at Gillette Stadium in Boston on 9 July to advance to the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup, with Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele both scoring in the second half in front of 63,811 spectators.
The first hour produced few clear chances, with Morocco organised and compact. Mbappe broke the deadlock on 60 minutes with a composed finish, then Dembele doubled the lead six minutes later with a driven effort to make it 2-0. Issa Diop picked up a yellow card for Morocco at 63 minutes as the game opened up.
Mbappe was withdrawn at 77 minutes, replaced by Jean-Philippe Mateta, but France controlled the remainder without conceding. Morocco were unable to find a way through and France advance to the semi-finals.
