E ngland sealed top spot in Group L with a controlled 2-0 victory over Panama at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on June 27, watched by a crowd of 80,663. The result leaves England with seven points from three games as they head into the round of 32.

The match was locked at 0-0 until Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute. Harry Kane then doubled the advantage five minutes later to put the tie beyond doubt. Panama had no answer to England's quality in the final third once the opener arrived.

Panama exit the tournament without a point, eliminated after three straight defeats in Group L. England advance as group winners and will be among the favourites heading into the knockout stage.
