A rgentina completed a perfect Group J campaign with a 3-1 victory over Jordan at AT&T Stadium in Dallas on June 27-28, in front of 70,649 fans. Nine points from three games confirms the defending champions as clear favourites heading into the knockouts.

Giovani Lo Celso opened the scoring in the 19th minute and Lautaro Martinez doubled the lead in the 31st. Jordan reduced the deficit through Mousa Altamari's well-taken goal in the 55th minute, but Lionel Messi ended any remaining doubt with his 80th-minute strike to seal the 3-1 win.

Jordan finish the tournament without a point, eliminated at the group stage. Argentina, with Messi operating in fine form, take a maximum nine points into the round of 32 as Group J winners.
