Mexico Cruise Past Czechia 3-0 to Clinch Group A Top Spot

Goals from Mateo Chavez, Julian Quinones and Alvaro Fidalgo gave Mexico a comfortable 3-0 win over Czechia in Mexico City, sealing first place in Group A.

M exico finished top of Group A with a convincing 3-0 victory over Czechia at Mexico City Stadium on Thursday, with Mateo Chavez, Julian Quinones and Alvaro Fidalgo all finding the net.

The game remained goalless at the interval before Chavez broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with a clinical finish. Quinones added a second six minutes later to put the result beyond doubt.

Alvaro Fidalgo, introduced as a substitute, completed the scoring in the 90th minute to cap a composed display from the co-hosts.

Mexico advance as Group A winners. Czechia exit the tournament.
