Victor Nilsson Lindelöf

Captain since August 2021. Joined Aston Villa on a free transfer from Manchester United on 1 September 2025 after eight seasons at Old Trafford. The most-capped outfield player in the squad and the spine of the back line under three different head coaches.

Made his Sweden debut in 2016 and scored his first international goal that October against Bulgaria in World Cup qualifying. Has played at Euro 2020 and the 2018 World Cup, where Sweden reached the quarter-finals.
